Looking for some scary good treats for your Halloween party? Make these super easy Halloween pretzels. Three designs, 4 ingredients: ghosts, goblins, and ogres! Oh my!

Halloween is such a fun time of parties with delicious treats, but what if you are in a hurry and need something fast? Why not whip up a batch of these fun little characters?

They are so simple to make!

Chocolate dipped pretzel snacks, candy eyes, and a bag of milk chocolate or block of almond bark. That’s it! (Well, you do need a bag of slivered almonds to make the ogre)

Ingredients

1 bag milk chocolate Flipz pretzel snacks

container of candy eyes (I found mine at my local grocery store, but you can get them here)

12 oz. package of milk chocolate chips

By the way…

Directions

First, melt the milk chocolate chips in a double boiler.  If you don’t have a double boiler, set a dish on top of a pot of simmering (not boiling) water, so the dish fits snugly. The steam from the water will melt the chocolate to a wonderfully smooth consistency.  I have tried melting chocolate in the microwave many times, but I mess it up every time.  It always gets too hard. Using a double boiler is my preferred way by far!

Lay out a large piece of aluminum foil and arrange the pretzels on it.

Using a knife, spread enough melted chocolate in each of the upper holes to fill them.

Next, add 2 sugar eyes.

And that’s it! How simple is that?

Halloween pretzels #2: Pretzel ghosts

1 bag Flipz white fudge pretzel snacks

container of candy eyes

package of almond bark or white chocolate chips (I use almond bark in my Christmas baking so I had a big block of it, but a bag of white chocolate chips works fine, too.)

Directions

These are made exactly like the goblins.

Melt the almond bark in a double boiler until smooth.

Spread the melted bark in the 2 upper holes.

Add the candy eyes.

Boom! Done!

Halloween pretzels #3: Pretzel ogres

Now, I must admit. The ogres came about because I wanted to see what else I could make. I had a lot of the milk chocolate pretzels, so they were my template.

First, I added the melted milk chocolate and candy eyes, just like the other 2 designs.

Then, I started digging through my baking supplies and found a bag of slivered almonds. So, I got creative! 🙂

My original idea was to make owls, so I added a beak and ear tufts.  But they didn’t really look like owls.  They looked liked ogres or like Wild Things.

As a children’s librarian of many years, one of my favorite books is Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak. Do you see the resemblance?

So, ogres they became! I am thinking that if I used green food coloring and white chocolate and Flipz, I could have made perfect Shrek pretzels. I might have to make those next year!
