I really wanted a new patriotic wreath for my front door, but it needed to be inexpensive and hold up to our daily Florida afternoon thunderstorms, too.
So, my daughter and I headed to the dollar store to see what patriotic decorations they had, and they actually had quite a lot. I grabbed 4 pairs of flip flops that had stars and stripes on them ($4), a red and blue shiny pinwheel ($1) and a burlap bow, stamped with blue stars and red stripes ($1).

I have one copper pan that I use all the time, and it certainly looks like it. It is very discolored, especially on the bottom, and I thought I could never get it back to its original coppery shine. I tried using an abrasive cleaner with added bleach (Soft Scrub), which works great on my stainless steel sink, but it didn’t touch the discoloration on the pan. I love being outdoors and decorating my yard is one of my favorite things to do. Because I live in Florida, I am lucky enough to be able to spend time outside year-round.
